Low back pain from playing disc golf
After I quit my job and started working from home, my back has gotten much better. Since I’m able to stand up and walk around a lot more and am not so constricted to my desk, it’s easier to do the recommended physical therapy actions.
I had a slipped disk several months ago and had to wear a spinal decompression belt. The belt helped to take pressure off the low back. This reduced pain and helps the body to heal itself. I also got regular adjustments and my back healed slowly. After I started working from home, the pain almost disappeared completely.
A couple weeks ago, I went to the park to play disc golf with a friend. It went okay for most of the holes, but somewhere on the back nine, I managed to get a slipped disk again. This time wasn’t nearly as bad as the first time it happened, but it was still very uncomfortable and painful. I called the Junction City chiropractor and he advised that I start wearing the spinal decompression belt again, just like I did before, and to come in for an exam and treatments.
Just having the decompression belt handy was great since it gave me instant relief. I’m getting regular adjustments again and my back is getting better. In the future I’ll certainly keep in mind that I’m not playing competition disc golf and will be careful not to overdo it. For now though, I just need to continue getting adjustments and wearing my spinal decompression belt in order to once again fix my Junction City low back pain.
I think that once I’m back in good shape again, I’ll go ahead and continue getting regular adjustments. Whenever I’ve done that in the past, it’s also helped me get a good night’s rest too, which is pretty nice.
